The Hauser German Club participated in the IU German Theater Project this past weekend.   In order to be invited to participate, the club had to write, produce, film and edit an original film in German.

27 films were submitted to the project. Of the 27, only 6 were chosen as finalists to be shown and judged at the project. Hauser was one of the 6 finalists. We came in 2nd (Honorable Mention) in our category: Adapted Script!!!  This is quite an accomplishment as our film was made by students in German I and II, and it went up against films made by students in all levels of German, including level IV!!!

Please congratulate the following students on their success:  Levi Bontrager, Echantra Fleenor, Alexxis Owens, Caitlin Willin, Nicole Willin, Lauren Kelley, Alysha Pitman, Tannyr Davis, Lance Bruer, Kaylee Fleenor, and Patrick Snyder.

CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Gaff and her 8th Grade GTT Students for winning BEST IN STATE in the Verizon Innovative App Challenge!  Their app concept, SPEAK BOT PRO, beat more than 1,200 other entries and won $5,000 and prizes.

During this year's Teacher Appreciation Week, the US Department of Education wants to say thank you to some great teachers.  Help us reach our goal by recommending a friend, a colleague, your child's teacher, or any teacher who inspired you!  There are no other criteria beyond it being someone who YOU think deserves some thanks.   Tell us about a teacher you want to highlight along with a few details about why and how we can reach them.  We hope to directly contact each nominee.  We look forward to your recommendations and thank you for your help in this endeavor!
