School Nurse – Flat Rock-Hawcreek
Job Description
1.
Maintain health records
2.
Submit official reports
3.
Provide training/support to staff.
4.
Provide basic nursing care to all of our students.
5.
Communicate with parents as necessary about illness or injuries at school.
6.
Update immunization and health records.
7.
Assist students, faculty and staff who are ill or injured at school. Administer emergency first aid when necessary.
8.
Utilize the Indiana State Board of Health guidelines for excluding students and/or staff with possible communicable diseases.
9.
Dispense medications as requested by parent/guardian; secure medications in a locked cabinet.
10.
Gather and maintain a current list of students with allergies or other medical concerns, and keep teachers and cafeteria workers informed.
11.
Provide intermittent clerical support and relief to the office secretaries.
Requirements
Current RN or LPN license
CPR/First Aid Certifications
Organized and able to communicate effectively
Must practice confidentiality in all situations
Salary Compensation:
$16.79 - $25.00 per hour based on licensing and years of service. Position hours are flexible, both full and part-time will be considered.
