- Proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War while stationed in Germany.
- Retired from Cummins
- Instrumental in the success of Hope Summer Playground and served on the board when they moved to their current location.
- One of the founding members of the Future Jets Biddy Basketball program.
- Hauser Basketball volunteer and coach for many years, retiring after the 2005-2006 season when he helped coach Hauser Boys Basketball team to their first Basketball State Title.
